“Paradise” and “Sri Lanka” these two words belong together. For a small island Sri Lanka offers so much to the visitor.
Sri Lanka has more than 1,300 kilometres of stunning sandy beaches so with all round summer there is always a beach for you.
Sri Lanka is steeped in heritage. There are 8 UNESCO world heritage sites and a history that goes back over 2,000 years. Sri Lanka has some of the best preserved monuments is Asia and their culture lives on in the Sri Lankan people. Buddhism and Hinduism are the main religions and this is also reflected in the way of life of many Sri Lankans.
Sri Lanka has nine national parks and seven bird sanctuaries. For such a small island Sri Lanka is home to two of the largest animals and sea mammals. Just seeing the large Asian Elephant and the enormous and docile blue whales is a mind blowing experience.
If it’s an adventure you’re after then Sri Lanka is also for you. With some of the most stunning scenery as a back drop for kayaking, canoeing, white water rafting, cycling and even hot air ballooning. The choices are endless.

SIGIRYA – On top of a prehistoric volcanic plug that dominates the surrounding landscape, the ancient for of Sigiriya is thought to have been built by King Kasyapa in the 5th century AD. See the legendary Lion Gates, Palace Gardens, and massive frescoes.
KANDY – In the lush tropical heart of the island, Kandy is the centre of the tea trade. Although it’s cultural heritage far pre-dates the British tea drinker; in the Dalda Maligawa, one of Buddha’s teeth is kept as a sacred relic, putting it among the most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites in the world.
HATTON – The tiny hill resort of Hatton makes an excellent base for exploration. Nearby at the Horton Plains National Park you will find the “World’s End” a 1000 metre natural precipice falling to the plains below. Leopard, sambar deer, Langur and highland birds make their home in its spectacular landscapes.
